Strong Points: Very good strong safety size. Big hitter -- will blow up opponents if opportunity is there. Athletic with solid play speed. Strong and explosive. Solid in zone coverage with very good WR awareness. Played man vs. wideouts and tight ends at the college level. Quick to transition.
Weak Points: With his instincts, ball skills and anticipation, he should have more than five career interceptions. Some of the hits he's gotten away with in college would be penalties in the NFL.
The Way We See It: Harris is the perfect guy to play strong safety in many schemes, with the size to play up close and the speed and athleticism to succeed in coverage. He has the mirror skills and experience to play man vs. most NFL tight ends. With Harris' size and hitting ability, some clubs might look at him as a hybrid linebacker for their sub-packages. Regardless, he is an every-down player. I love physical safeties, and that describes Harris to a tee. A starter for most clubs as a rookie, and a strong combine could make him a hot prospect this spring.
