Strong Points: Adequate size for the position, with the frame to easily get to 320-plus pounds if the team that drafts him desires. Very quick off the ball with some explosiveness to get a push and disrupt the run game. Aggressive player with a good motor.
Weak Points: Average instincts -- loses track of the ball at times. Not a pass rusher. Must improve hand use and shed faster. Lacks speed and not a top pursuit player.
The Way We See It: Up until last season, Wren was only a rotational player. Then, he earned a starting role in 2018 and played well. He is basically just a run stuffer who can be disruptive because of his initial quickness and power. He penetrates but doesn't make as many plays as he could because he loses sight of the ball. He generates a push rushing the passer, but that's about it. He requires more development for the NFL but has the size, strength, power and quickness to become a decent rotational player. We doubt he has a starter's ceiling, but Wren has upside. Some coaches might even want to move him to offense because of his power and length.
