Strong Points: Excellent CB size and length. Very good athlete with above-average speed. Physical press player who effectively redirects receivers. Keeps good position in man coverage and plays the ball well. Sure hands. Very physical run-support player and a strong tackler. Effective when blitzing off the corner. Transitions very quickly and times his close well.
Weak Points: No interceptions in 2018 after getting four two years ago, but in fairness, he wasn't thrown at much. Doesn't appear to be a burner. Not as effective in zone as he is in press coverage.
The Way We See It: Jackson, a two year starter for Miami, is one of the more physical corners in this draft. He has great size and very good press ability, including a strong jam. He played mostly press with some off coverage sprinkled in last season, after playing more zone in addition to press two years ago. Jackson reacts to the ball in the air very well and has good hands. Though he's best in press, he more than handles himself in zone and off coverage, as well. Few corners in his class are as feisty, physical and dependable in run support as Jackson, whose tape is very good but his workout will be key to his draft slot. First-round grade, but he must run well for it to hold up.
