Strong Points: Very good CB size. Strong ball skills and hands. Eight career interceptions. Adequate off- man defender and aware in zone. Quickness and change-of-direction skills.
Weak Points: Lacks the play speed to play corner in the NFL, which shows up both in coverage and pursuit. Not physical -- waits for run to come to him, struggles to take on blocks, misses tackles. Lacks NFL-caliber strength and explosion. Played at a lower level of competition.
The Way We See It: Brown, a multi-year starter at South Dakota State, has ideal size but lacks the speed and suddenness to cover in the league. He is alert with good ball skills, so he has a chance at safety, but his lack of physicality and strength will be a problem there. Currently, Brown is a size prospect with ball skills who has work in front of him to get drafted.
