Strong Points: Rare size and length for a corner. Good play speed. Best in press. Finds the ball when his back is turned. Good hands. Solid run-support player and sure tackler.
Weak Points: Limited zone and off coverage responsibilities in tapes we studied. Not a smooth athlete -- some tightness in his hips. Gives too much cushion when he is off. Only one interception in the past two seasons.
The Way We See It: Peters was a solid payer for Mississippi State but isn't a great NFL prospect. He is more of a size- speed guy than anything else. Best when lined up in press man, he mirrors well and has the length and strength to redirect. Peters has experience in zone and off, but I did not see him do it enough to fairly grade. His run-support aggressiveness and strong tackling bodes well for Peters to play on special teams. His physical testing will be important. Some clubs will want to work out Peters at safety because of his size and tenacity. Day 3 selection.
