- BProjectionRound 5
- YearRS Junior
- Hand9 ½
Strong Points: Tall with very long arms for his height (32 1/8"). Smooth athlete who can break down at the top of a route, burst and separate. Very good route runner. Super productive (92 catches). Great hands and a very large receiving radius. Competes and wins in traffic. Takes hits and secures the ball. Good runner after the catch.
Weak Points: Not a burner -- won't threaten defenses deep. Average blocker.
The Way We See It: Meyers was the possession receiver in the North Carolina State offense, where he often lined up inside and ran the shorter routes. He is a very good route runner who uncovers vs. both man and zone, consistently separating because of his quickness. Meyers is not the fastest guy, but he is smooth with a burst. He has great hands, making some very difficult and courageous catches in a crowd. Overall, he won't get drafted as high as his production says he should because he will run an average 40. But Meyers will come in and contribute right away, and he should be a starter by his second year in the league.
