Strong Points: Productive. Size -- tall with big hands (10 3/8"). Plays a physical game. Good blocker both in-line and in space. Good short- and medium-depth route runner. Catches the ball cleanly and will compete in traffic. Strong runner.
Weak Points: Overaged -- will be a 24-year-old rookie who is already six years out of high school after spending two years on a Mission. Must add a little more size and strength. One-speed guy -- average.
The Way We See It: Raymond still had a year of eligibility remaining but already graduated and will be relatively old entering the league. He plays in-tight, on the wing and flexed out. His athleticism is fine, but he lacks great top-end speed and seemingly much of a burst. He's adept running short- and intermediate-length routes and finding the openings in zone coverage. He is sure-handed and snatches the ball. Raymond is competitive going after the ball in traffic, usually coming out the winner. Though he is not overly big, Raymond has the frame to carry another 10 pounds. A physical player, he's solid blocking in-line and particularly good on the move. He runs with power after the catch to pick up whatever is there … and a bit more. He has the talent to start in time. Raymond might be best as a "Y" because of his blocking skills. His age and timed speed likely lands him in Day 3, but he will be a good Saturday selection.
