Strong Points: Very productive last season (45 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 7 ½ sacks). Thirteen combined sacks the past two seasons. Very athletic, with speed, change of direction, quick feet and flexibility. Quick hands and keeps blockers off his body. Closes off of blocks. Reacts quickly and finds the ball. Plays contain well. Very good pursuit player.
Weak Points: Marginal size for an edge defender. Arms might be a bit short. Limited experience in coverage.
The Way We See It: Walker was a big part of the Georgia defense the past two seasons. He is a bit undersized for an edge defender but plays with strength, explosiveness and quick, active hands. He is a good- to-very good athlete who is light on his feet and smooth changing directions. Walker makes a lot of plays because of his instincts and competitiveness. He is an explosive pass rusher who has speed, moves and hand use coming off the edge. He might not be big but he can bull rush. Walker consistently finishes every play. He must get bigger and is best suited to be an outside backer in a 3-4 who plays down in pass situations. If he had prototypical size, Walker would easily be a premium-round prospect.
