Strong Points: Quick, fast, strong after contact. Had an exceptional 2017 season. Good vision/instincts. Runs low and hard and can break tackles. Willing blocker. Has the speed and burst to get the corner turned.

Weak Points: Production really fell off in 2018, from over 2,000 yards rushing to 739. Missed some time with injuries. Not used that often in the pass game and does not have natural hands. Seldom used as a returner. Mainly a one-cut north/south runner who is not very elusive. Not more than a role player at the next level. Tore his ACL in final game and had surgery.

The Way We See It: Some players profit by staying in school; that wasn't the case with Love. Had he entered the draft following the 2017 season, he might have gone Day 2. Now he won't get drafted before Day 3. Though he is quick, fast and productive, he has limitations. He is a big back in a small body. He's mainly a one-cut, north/south runner who has some power but is not very elusive and he's average in the pass game. Stanford didn't see him as a good kick returner, so who knows if he will be able to do that in the NFL. I don't see him as more than a role player at this time. Sill needs to develop his hands and blocking skills. Good enough to make a team but will never be a starter. With ACL surgery being so late, he might not be able to play in 2019 and could sit on NFI list for the year. Best-case scenario is he's available for the final third of the 2019 season.
