Strong Points: Tall and long, and knows how to use his height to his advantage. Good athlete with some speed. Willing blocker. Large receiving radius and the ability to make difficult grabs. Runs well for a big man.

Weak Points: Never played up to expectations at Notre Dame. Missed all of the 2016 season because of academics. Average route runner. Very average runner after the catch, often slowing down before contact and seldom running through a tackler. Doesn't make people miss. Willing as a blocker but not consistently effective. Underachiever. Only four career TDs. Will have some concentration drops. Might lack required instincts.

The Way We See It: Mack has a year of eligibility remaining because of academic suspension in '16 but will graduate and enter the draft. Coming out of high school, he was touted as one of the best tight ends in his class but never lived up to those expectations. Last season was his most productive, with 36 receptions for 360 yards. We can see the athleticism on tape and keep waiting for the big plays, but they don't come. Something is missing. Has too much talent not to make a team, but he likely will never be more than a backup who eventually will be replaced. Will have to produce on special teams.
