BEST BETS

HA: PIT

At this point, I can't pick a lock to save my life. But it's been five weeks since the Bengals stayed within 6½ of anybody, and they've only done it four times in their 10 losses this season, while the Steelers have had a few extra days of rest, are fighting for their wild-card lives and will be anxious to put Garrett-Gate behind them emphatically. Gimme the Steelers.

AA: PIT

Strictly from a football perspective, Mason Rudolph has been bad this season, and the Steelers will be without their top two playmakers, James Conner and JuJu Smith-Schuster. All anyone has talked about all week in Pittsburgh or the state of Ohio is the continued fallout from the Rudolph-Myles Garrett melee. In other words, this is when Mike Tomlin is at his best. Throw in the fact that Zac Taylor's 0-10 Bengals are playing out the string while gladly accepting the tank mantle from Miami and I feel strangely confident that, even if the Steelers' inept offense can't do work to cover the touchdown, their defense will against Ryan Finley.
