Update at 4:30 p.m. on Fri. Nov. 9: Welp, this stinks.

After writing about Amari Cooper in this space last week, when we said he was the vet WR to own of the three moved at the trade deadline, it only seems appropriate that we discuss the guy he was tabbed to replace, Dez Bryant, following the former Cowboy signing with the Saints.

New Orleans won't play Bryant Sunday in Cincinnati. That could very well change as soon as next Sunday vs. the Eagles, and with the Saints possessing the fifth-easiest remaining schedule for fantasy wideouts, it says here that Bryant will be a fantasy factor — and perhaps a difference maker — as the playoffs approach.

New Orleans' remaining fantasy schedule after Sunday: vs. Philly (No. 29 against fantasy WRs), vs. Atlanta (No. 30), at Dallas (No. 1, but REVENGE GAME), at Tampa (No. 31), at Carolina (No.13) and vs. Pittsburgh (No. 27). Giddy up.

Bryant's fantasy environment: In short, perhaps the best he's ever resided in. Sean Payton will scheme him open, perhaps taking a page out of the Bruce Arians-Larry Fitzgerald book in deploying him in the slot, as Eric Edholm mentioned on our latest podcast.

Drew Brees will throw him open, something Dak Prescott hasn't learned to do consistently but a vital skill that can negate the half-step-to-step Bryant has lost.

Bryant will be open, or at least free from the double coverage he consistently faced in Dallas, as long as Michael Thomas is healthy.

And Dez will be motivated working on a humbling prorated one-year deal that's worth $660,000 with his best shot in a decade to win a Super Bowl and, who knows, perhaps cash in on one more lucrative NFL contract.

Bryant is easily the most-added player in fantasy football this week, going from 6.7 percent ownership to 64.4 percent in the span of a couple days. It shouldn't come as a surprise, nor should Bryant throwing up the 'X' —perhaps with regularity — down the stretch after finding the ideal place to reinvent himself.
