Maragos, Chris (S)

Posted April 11, 2013 @ 9:07 p.m.
Backup safety Chris Maragos also signed his one-year contract tender with Seattle on Thursday.
Maragos was a restricted free agent and a special teams standout for the Seahawks last season.

Quinn, Brady (QB)

Posted April 11, 2013 @ 9:07 p.m.
Quinn and the Seattle Seahawks officially finalized their deal to make him the backup quarterback to starter Russell Wilson on Thursday. Terms of the contract were not available. Quinn and the Seahawks agreed to the deal earlier this week.
Quinn joins Josh Portis as the expected backups to Wilson. Quinn played last year for the Chiefs, starting eight games. It was his first regular-season playing time since the 2009 season.

Quinn, Brady (QB)

Posted April 09, 2013 @ 7:32 p.m.
Quinn will be Seattle's new backup quarterback after his new deal with the Seahawks was announced Tuesday.
Quinn beat out three other quarterbacks: Matt Leinart, Seneca Wallace and Tyler Thigpen. The four QBs worked out for the Seahawks on Monday.

Swain, Brett (WR)

Posted April 09, 2013 @ 12:39 a.m.
The Seahawks inked Swain to a two-year deal, announcing the signing on their website on Monday.
The 27-year-old Swain was drafted by Green Bay in 2008, taken in the seventh-round out of San Diego State. He caught six passes with Green Bay in the 2010 season and another two for San Francisco in 2011, but was among the 49ers' final cuts before the start of last season.

McDaniel, Tony (DT)

Posted April 03, 2013 @ 8:09 p.m.
Seattle tendered a one-year qualifying offer to McDonald, who chose to sign and return as Seattle's backup nose tackle.
McDaniel played in 54 games with Miami since going to the Dolphins in 2009 via a trade with Jacksonville. McDaniel was mostly a reserve with the Dolphins, starting just two games.

Portis, Josh (QB)

Posted April 03, 2013 @ 8:08 p.m.
The Seattle Seahawks turned to a familiar name to try and add depth at quarterback, signing former practice squad QB Portis to a two-year contract on Wednesday
Finding a backup quarterback for starter Russell Wilson is now an offseason priority for the Seahawks after trading Matt Flynn to Oakland earlier this week. Bringing back Portis makes sense, although the Seahawks are likely to look for additional options. Portis was on Seattle's practice squad for the entire 2012 season before being released in late November.

Avril, Cliff (DE)

Posted March 14, 2013 @ 5:35 p.m.
The Seattle Seahawks have finalized their contract with free agent defensive end Cliff Avril, adding another needed pass rusher along their defensive line. The contract, reportedly for two years, was finalized on Thursday.
Avril immediately addresses Seattle's need to add someone who can pressure the quarterback. Avril had 9 1/2 sacks last season, but the best of his five years with Detroit came in 2011. Avril had 11 sacks - good for seventh in the NFC - along with six forced fumbles and an interception. His long, lean frame fits the mold of the type of defensive ends that Seattle coach Pete Carroll wants.

Avril, Cliff (DE)

Posted March 13, 2013 @ 10:07 p.m.
A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that Avril and the Seattle Seahawks have reached agreement on a deal that addresses one of Seattle's big offseason concerns.
The agreement was reached on Wednesday and is still pending a physical. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the team had not announced the deal. NFL.com first reported the deal. Avril immediately helps Seattle's most glaring offseason need in adding depth along the defensive line. Seattle is unsure of the status of defensive end Chris Clemons due to a knee injury suffered against Washington in the playoffs.

Harvin, Percy (WR)

Posted March 12, 2013 @ 5:30 p.m.
The Seattle Seahawks have completed their trade with Minnesota to acquire Harvin in exchange for a trio of draft picks. Seattle announced the finalization of the trade on Tuesday afternoon once the NFL's league year began. Harvin passed his physical and will be introduced at the team's facility later Tuesday.
The 24-year-old Harvin will give second-year quarterback Russell Wilson a dynamic playmaker not yet at his peak and reunite him with former teammate Sidney Rice and former offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell.

Harvin, Percy (WR)

Posted March 11, 2013 @ 1:33 p.m.
A person with knowledge of the deal tells The Associated Press that the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to trade the unhappy receiver to Seattle for a package that includes the Seahawks' first-round draft pick in April.
Harvin was unhappy with his contract and his role in the Vikings' struggling passing offense. He missed the final six games last season with an ankle injury. He obviously is still among the NFL's most versatile players, but only if he's geeting the ball enough.
