Jennings replaces Mike Goodson as the backup to Darren McFadden. He has rushed for 944 yards and seven touchdowns and caught 61 passes in 38 games with Jacksonville. The Raiders acquired Seattle backup Matt Flynn on Monday for draft picks, bringing an end to Carson Palmer's brief tenure as starter in Oakland even before they are done paying the steep price they dealt to acquire him.
Flynn, a backup in college at LSU to former Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell, has started just two games in five seasons as a pro. But it's those brief appearances that intrigue many NFL teams. He threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns in a loss at New England in place of an injured Aaron Rodgers late in the 2010 season. He then started the regular-season finale the following season, going 31 for 44 for 480 yards and six touchdown passes in a 45-41 win over D

Barron, Alex (T)

Posted March 26, 2013 @ 1:45 p.m.
The Raiders signed Barron, who has not played a game since 2010. He sat out the 2011 season with a knee injury and went to training camp with Seattle last summer but did not make the team.
Barron was a first-round pick by St. Louis in 2005. He has played 87 games and has experience at both left and right tackle. Oakland previously re-signed right tackle Khalif Barnes, who can play guard as well as tackle. Jared Veldheer is expected to remain the starter at left tackle.

Burnett, Kevin (LB)

Posted March 17, 2013 @ 8:31 p.m.
The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent linebacker Kevin Burnett, continuing their offseason makeover of the defense. Burnett is the third linebacker signed by the Raiders in the past week. General manager Reggie McKenzie had earlier signed Kaluka Maiava from Cleveland and Nick Roach from Chicago.
Burnett, whose brother Kaelin is also on Oakland's roster, spent the past two seasons with Miami and has started 59 games over eight years. He had a career-high 110 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks in 2012. Burnett, a second-round draft pick by Dallas in 2005, spent four seasons with Dallas and two in San Diego before signing with the Dolphins.

Roach, Nick (LB)

Posted March 15, 2013 @ 11:52 a.m.
