Rugland, Havard (K)
The Detroit Lions have signed Rugland. Terms of the deals weren't disclosed by the team Thursday.
Detroit's deal with Rugland seems to give newly acquired kicker David Akers some competition or at least provides some depth at the position for practice. The Lions recently signed Akers soon after Jason Hanson retired and now also has a Norwegian Internet kicking sensation on the roster. He posted a trick-shot video - called "Kickalicious" - the 6-foot-2, 240-pound Rugland posted in September has more than 2.7 million views.

Akers, David (K)
The Detroit Lions have added Akers one day after Jason Hanson retired.
San Francisco released Akers a month ago after he slumped during the 2012 season. The six-time Pro Bowl kicker made 73 of 94 field goals over two seasons for the 49ers. He underwent double hernia surgery in February 2012 then aggravated the area during the season when he slipped on the field during practice. Akers has made 367 of 453 field goals in his career with Washington, Philadelphia and San Francisco.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released Mosley. Mosley spent the last three seasons with the Jaguars, starting 15 games and recording 136 tackles.
He won the starting job over Terrance Knighton last season. He started 12 games in 2012 and had a career-best 80 tackles. He also had 2 1/2 sacks and three fumble recoveries. Mosley has eight years in the league, spending time with Minnesota, the New York Jets, Cleveland and Jacksonville.

Delmas, Louis (S)
A person with knowledge of the deal says safety Louis Delmas has agreed to a two-year contract to remain with the Detroit Lions. The person spoke on condition of anonymity Friday because no announcement had been made. The 25-year-old Delmas returns to Detroit after the Lions added free agent safety Glover Quin earlier this week.
Delmas played only eight games last season but started them all. He was limited by left knee problems.
