Johnson, Calvin (WR)
Posted March 18, 2010 @ 1:48 p.m.
Johnson says he has faith the Detroit Lions will finally start winning. The standout wide receiver, though, acknowledged Thursday he felt that way after they endured the NFL's first 0-16 season. Detroit won just two games last season, none the previous year and seven in 2007 after making Johnson the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft.
Johnson has joined his teammates for offseason workouts this week. He hopes newly acquired receiver Duane Burleson will make teams change their coverage of him. He also hopes he has figured out a way to stay healthy after nagging injuries last season.
Ciurciu, Vinny (LB)

Detroit re-signed linebacker Vinny Ciurciu to a one-year contract Thursday.
Ciurciu helped out on special teams in nine games last season for the Lions.
Jansen, Jon (T)

Detroit re-signed offensive tackle Jon Jansen to a one-year contract Thursday.
Jansen started twice and played in 11 games last season for the Lions.
Wade, Jonathan (CB)
Posted March 10, 2010 @ 3:12 p.m.
The Detroit Lions have signed free agent cornerback Jonathan Wade to a one-year contract. Terms were not disclosed Wednesday.
St. Louis selected Wade in the third round of the 2007 draft. In 47 games through three seasons with the Rams, including six starts, he has 67 tackles and two interceptions. The Lions within the past week have signed two veteran free agents in defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch and wide receiver Nate Burleson. They've also acquired defensive Corey Williams and cornerback Chris Houston in trades with Cleveland and Atlanta, respectively.
Houston, Chris (CB)
Posted March 08, 2010 @ 6:29 p.m.
The Detroit Lions have traded two late-round draft picks to acquire Houston from the Atlanta Falcons.
Houston, a second-round pick for Atlanta in 2007, became expendable after the Falcons signed Dunta Robinson as an unrestricted free agent. Houston has three interceptions and one forced fumble in 44 career games, 37 starts.
