Revis, Darrelle (CB)

Posted April 15, 2013 @ 6:34 p.m.
Revis reported Monday for the first day of the team's voluntary offseason conditioning program, a few hours after having an MRI exam at a hospital in Manhattan.
Revis, who has been rehabilitating his surgically repaired left knee in Arizona, did not speak with reporters who were waiting outside the entrance to the Jets' training complex, driving past without acknowledging them.

Tebow, Tim (QB)

Posted April 12, 2013 @ 7 p.m.
Tebow plans to report for offseason workouts Monday with a "great attitude."
He offered little insight into his feelings about the Jets signing quarterback David Garrard or about the rampant speculation that his time in New York might be ending after one disappointing and unproductive season.

Revis, Darrelle (CB)

Posted April 11, 2013 @ 8:18 p.m.
Revis has started to run again as he rehabilitates from a torn knee ligament while his future with the New York Jets remains uncertain. The star cornerback, sidelined most of last season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, is shown running on a treadmill and doing a variety of drills in a segment on NFL Network that aired Thursday.
Revis, the subject of trade rumors, will report to the team's practice facility in Florham Park, N.J., on Monday for the start of voluntary workouts. Revis didn't address the trade rumors, but says, "We'll see what happens." Revis will meet with his surgeon Russell Warren, the Giants' team doctor, in Manhattan and have an MRI exam Monday before heading to the Jets' facility.

Cumberland, Jeff (TE)

Posted April 08, 2013 @ 8:18 p.m.
Cumberland signed a one-year tender offer to return to the Jets, potentially setting himself up as the replacement starter after Dustin Keller's departure.
Cumberland is expected to have a more prominent role in the offense after setting career highs last year in his third NFL season with 29 catches for 359 yards and three touchdowns. Keller signed with the Dolphins as a free agent.

Revis, Darrelle (CB)

Revis needs to participate in the New York Jets' voluntary workouts beginning next week, according to a clause in his contract, to collect $3 million in bonuses he's scheduled to earn.
The star cornerback, the subject of trade rumors, has been rehabilitating his surgically repaired left knee in Arizona, but is expected to report to the team's facility in Florham Park, N.J., for the start of the Jets' offseason conditioning program next week. ESPN New York first reported on Sunday, according to sources, that the Jets planned to enforce the language in Revis' contract that requires him to participate in the workouts to get the bonus money.

Sanchez, Mark (QB)

Posted March 19, 2013 @ 11:54 p.m.
Rex Ryan says Mark Sanchez will be the New York Jets' starting quarterback for "the first snap" in minicamp, but insists there will be an open competition at the position.
The Jets coach says at the NFL meetings Tuesday that the team needs "to get better" at the position." Sanchez struggled mightily last year, and was benched in favor of third-stringer Greg McElroy for a game. New York brought in veteran David Garrard to compete with Sanchez for the job, and anything is possible with Ryan at the helm of this circus.

Revis, Darrelle (CB)

Posted March 16, 2013 @ 6:52 p.m.
Jets star cornerback Darrelle Revis, the subject of trade rumors, has earned a $1 million roster bonus as a result of a clause in his contract with New York.
According to the clause, the bonus kicked in on Saturday since Revis remains on the Jets' roster - not traded or cut - at the end of the business day. There has been intense speculation over several weeks that the Jets will try to trade their best player, who is recovering from a torn knee ligament. Some believed that move could come by Saturday so the Jets could avoid the clause, but Revis' bonus counts on the Jets' salary cap, whether or not he stays on the team.

Colon, Willie (G)

Posted March 15, 2013 @ 5:34 p.m.
A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that the New York Jets have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Willie Colon. The deal is for one year, $1.2 million, according to the person who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the team had not announced the signing.
Colon, a fourth-round draft pick by the Steelers in 2006, will add depth to the Jets' offensive line and could potentially fill one of the guard spots with Brandon Moore and Matt Slauson free agents. Colon, a Bronx native who played at Hofstra, was an offensive tackle from 2006-11 but moved to guard last season.
