The New York Giants put a little more money in the Victor Cruz contract fund this week by cutting Diehl's salary by nearly $3.5 million.
The paycut was revealed when a look at Diehl's salary for this season was listed at $1 million on the NFLPA website Wednesday. The 11-year veteran had been scheduled to make $4.37 million in the final year of his contract. Diehl started 11 games in 2012, missing five with a knee injury.

The Giants on Monday announced Boothe has re-signed after spending time on the free agent market. Contract terms were not immediately available.
The signing comes a little less than a month after left tackle Will Beatty signed a new five-year contract to stay with the Giants. Since the offseason ended, center David Baas restructured his contract to give the team more cap space. Right guard Chris and right tackle David Diehl are also under contract. The versatile Boothe started all 16 games at left guard last season, and the past 22 games overall.
