Andrews, Shawn (G)
Posted March 17, 2010 @ 4:10 p.m.
The Philadelphia Eagles have released former All-Pro right guard Shawn Andrews.
The former first-round pick has played in just two games over the past two years because of back injuries. He missed the 2008 training camp because of depression. Andrews, the 16th overall selection in the 2004 NFL draft, was moved to right tackle last summer to replace longtime starter Jon Runyan. However, he never played a down. Andrews made the Pro Bowl in 2006 and '07 and had a contract that ran through 2015.
Tapp, Darryl (DE)

The Seattle Seahawks have traded Tapp to Philadelphia for defensive end Chris Clemons and the Eagles' fourth-round choice in next month's draft.
The Seahawks announced the deal Tuesday. They drafted Tapp in the second round in 2006 out of Virginia Tech and re-signed him Monday. He has 18 sacks, two interceptions, eight forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in 65 NFL games. He had four sacks in a game against St. Louis in 2007.
Jackson, Marlin (CB)
Posted March 10, 2010 @ 2:24 p.m.
The Philadelphia Eagles and free agent defensive back Marlin Jackson have agreed to a two-year contract. A 2005 first-round draft pick by the Indianapolis Colts, Jackson is coming off a pair of season-ending knee injuries. He missed the second half of 2008 with a torn ACL in his right knee and returned in 2009 before tearing the ACL in his left knee in a November practice.
Jackson has 306 tackles and four interceptions in 56 career games with the Colts. The 6-foot, 196-pound Jackson can play cornerback and safety. The Eagles have Asante Samuel and Sheldon Brown entrenched at cornerback, but had difficulty settling on a full-time free safety last season.
Vick, Michael (QB)
Posted March 09, 2010 @ 5:07 p.m.
Dozens of protesters lined up outside a banquet hall where Michael Vick said he was ``very humbled'' to be honored as one of 32 NFL players to receive the Ed Block Courage Award. The award is presented to players who exemplify commitment to the principles of sportsmanship and courage. Each NFL team selects a recipient, and most of the winners were on hand for the gala event Tuesday night.
Vick was picked as the Philadelphia Eagles' representative by a unanimous vote of his teammates. Once a star quarterback with the Atlanta Falcons, Vick was convicted in 2007 for his role in a dogfighting ring and served 18 months in federal prison. This was the first award Vick has received since being reinstated by the NFL in September 2009.
Babin, Jason (DE)
Posted March 08, 2010 @ 4:42 p.m.
Babin is wrapping up a visit with the Tennessee Titans, who are looking to add depth on the defensive line. The Titans are looking for help after losing defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch to the Detroit Lions in the early hours of free agency on Friday.
Babin had 2 1/2 sacks for the Philadelphia Eagles last season. He was a first-round draft pick out of Western Michigan by the Houston Texans in 2004 and also has played for the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs.
