Grimes, Brent (CB)

Posted March 30, 2013 @ 11:22 a.m.
Grimes, who missed almost all of last season with an Achilles tendon injury, has signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins.
Grimes started 28 games for the Atlanta Falcons in 2010-11 but was hurt in the opener last year. He was undrafted and broke into the NFL with the Falcons in 2007. Grimes, who has 13 career interceptions, will compete for a starting job with the Dolphins. They lost Sean Smith via free agency to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Louis, Lance (G)

Posted March 27, 2013 @ 4:59 p.m.
Louis, still rehabilitating from a season-ending knee injury last November, has signed with the Miami Dolphins.
The 6-foot-3, 320-pound Louis spent the past four seasons with the Chicago Bears, where he made 28 starts at guard and tackle. They drafted him in the seventh round in 2009. Louis tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and missed the final five games of the season.

Garner, Nate (G)

Posted March 19, 2013 @ 12:03 p.m.
Garner has re-signed with the Miami Dolphins. The signing announced Tuesday comes barely 24 hours after tackle Jake Long, the overall No. 1 draft pick in 2008, left a hole in the line by signing with the St. Louis Rams. Garner started four games last year.
The 6-foot-7, 325-pound Garner is entering his sixth NFL season. He has played at all five positions on the line, with five starts at left guard, four at right tackle and four at right guard. Garner originally was a seventh-round draft choice of the New York Jets in 2008.

Gibson, Brandon (WR)

Posted March 15, 2013 @ 4:31 p.m.
Gibson has signed with the Miami Dolphins, giving young quarterback Ryan Tannehill a third new target through free agency.
Gibson, who signed Friday, spent the past four seasons with the St. Louis Rams, where he made 38 starts. Last year he had 51 receptions for a career-high 691 yards and five touchdowns while starting 13 games.

Keller, Dustin (TE)

Posted March 15, 2013 @ 11:18 a.m.
A person with knowledge of the contract says Keller has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins.
Keller spent his first five NFL seasons with the New York Jets and has 17 career touchdown catches. He was slowed by a left ankle injury last year and made 28 catches for 317 yards and two scores in eight games. The Dolphins acquired Keller to replace Anthony Fasano, their starting tight end the past four years. He signed Tuesday with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wheeler, Philip (LB)

Posted March 13, 2013 @ 1:55 p.m.
Wheeler has signed a $26 million, five-year contract with the Miami Dolphins. The deal includes a $7 million signing bonus and $13 million guaranteed.

Wallace, Mike (WR)

Posted March 12, 2013 @ 8:05 p.m.
A person with knowledge of the agreement says receiver Mike Wallace has agreed to a multiyear contract with the Miami Dolphins.
The person confirmed the agreement to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because no deal had been announced Tuesday night. In four years with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Wallace caught 32 touchdown passes.

Ellerbe, Dannell (LB)

Posted March 12, 2013 @ 6 p.m.
A person with knowledge of the contract says Ellerbe has agreed to a $35 million, five-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. The person confirmed the agreement to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because no deal had been announced Tuesday night. Ellerbe, 27, had 4 1/2 sacks last year for the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens.
Ellerbe was undrafted out of Georgia and has 14 career starts in four NFL seasons. He gives the Dolphins more youth at the position, leaving the status of nine-year veteran Karlos Dansby in doubt.

Moore, Matt (QB)

Posted March 08, 2013 @ 12:48 p.m.
Moore has signed a two-year contract to remain with the Miami Dolphins as a backup rather than testing free agency next week and pursuing a possible starting job.
Moore was beaten out for Miami's No. 1 job last summer by rookie Ryan Tannehill and played in only two games off the bench. The five-year veteran started 12 games for the Dolphins in 2011 and had his best season, throwing for 2,497 yards and 16 touchdowns with nine interceptions.

Hartline, Brian (WR)

Posted March 08, 2013 @ 8:57 a.m.
Hartline's agent says the veteran receiver has agreed to terms on a five-year deal for nearly $31 million to remain with the Miami Dolphins. Agent Drew Rosenhaus says Friday the contact includes $12.5 million guaranteed. Hartline would have become an unrestricted free agent Tuesday but wanted to remain with the team that drafted him in 2009.
Hartline led Miami last year with 74 receptions for 1,083 yards, both career highs, but caught only one touchdown pass. Hartline has 183 career receptions and six scores. Landing a top receiver for quarterback Ryan Tannehill remains the Dolphins' No. 1 offseason priority. Their wideouts combined for only three touchdown catches in 2012.
