Jordan, Akeem (LB)
The Kansas City Chiefs have signed veteran Akeem Jordan to provide depth and push for playing time alongside middle linebacker Derrick Johnson. The team announced the move in a statement Monday.
Jordan has appeared in 82 games with 34 starts in six seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles, where current Chiefs coach Andy Reid had been in charge until he was fired this offseason. Jordan has made 184 tackles, two interceptions and forced two turnovers in his career.

Diles, Zac (LB)
The Chiefs signed Diles on Friday. Diles has spent six seasons in the NFL after he was drafted in the seventh round by the Houston Texans. He has appeared in 67 games with 31 starts for the Texans, Colts, Buccaneers and Titans, making 223 tackles with a sack and an interception.
Diles appeared in all 24 games in two seasons for the Wildcats. He began his college career at Fresno City College, where he started 22 games over two seasons.

Albert, Branden (T)
Albert has signed his franchise tender.
The Chiefs announced that Albert signed his deal on Thursday, two weeks after placing the franchise tag on him. Albert will make $9.828 million if he plays under the one-year contract. That is no sure thing, though. The Chiefs have spoken to his representatives about a long-term contract, and it's also possible that Kansas City will trade Albert in the coming weeks.

Schwartz, Geoff (G)
The Kansas City Chiefs signed Schwartz on Friday in an attempt to bolster their depth.
Schwartz, who can play both guard and tackle, started 16 games for Carolina in 2010, but missed the following season with a hip injury. He spent last season as a backup in Minnesota. The former seventh-round pick could compete with Donald Stephenson for the job at right tackle, which came open when the Chiefs released Eric Winston. But Schwartz admitted he's more adept at guard, where he could compete with Jon Asamoah and Jeff Allen for playing time.
