Posted Nov. 03, 2009 @ 8:07 p.m.
The San Diego Chargers have signed rookie linebacker Holt from the practice squad to fill the roster spot created when wide receiver Chris Chambers was released.
Holt originally joined the Chargers in May as a free agent. He was released at the conclusion of training camp and added to the practice squad. The Chargers need a linebacker because Tim Dobbins is expected to be out for two weeks after sustaining a knee injury in Sunday's 24-16 win over Oakland.
Rivers, Philip (QB)
Posted Nov. 02, 2009 @ 5:26 p.m.
Rivers had a season-low 249 yards but threw for a touchdown in his fourth straight game in Sunday's 24-16 win over visiting Oakland. He also had his first interception in five games.
Rivers, one of five players with 2,000 yards, has 11 TDs and four interceptions this season.
Jackson, Vincent (WR)
Posted Nov. 02, 2009 @ 5:22 p.m.
Jackson had a career-high eight catches for 103 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-16 win over visiting Oakland.
Jackson has 37 receptions for 664 yards, the second-most in his career, in seven games. He caught 59 passes for 1,098 yards in 2008. Jackson is also two touchdowns shy of tying his career-high seven from last season.
Tomlinson, LaDainian (RB)
Posted Nov. 02, 2009 @ 5:15 p.m.
Tomlinson scored a pair of touchdowns in the Chargers' 24-16 win over visiting Oakland. He finished with 56 yards on 18 carries.
It could signal a breakout for Tomlinson, who has one TD in the previous four games.
Dobbins, Tim (LB)
Posted Nov. 01, 2009 @ 4:07 p.m.
Dobbins sustained a knee injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game against Oakland and was taken to the locker room on a cart. He was hurt on second-and-6 from the San Diego 9, when Justin Fargas gained 5 yards. Fargas scored two plays later to tie the game at 7.
The Chargers said Dobbins' return was questionable. He was starting in place of Kevin Burnett, who missed his second straight game with an ankle injury.
