STATS, LLC PLAYER NEWS

Carter, Tony (CB)

Posted April 15, 2013 @ 4:06 p.m.
Carter has signed his exclusive-rights free agent tender that will pay him $715,000 in 2013.
Carter played in a career-high 15 games last season and tied for the team lead with a dozen pass breakups. He also scored touchdowns on a fumble return and on an interception return.

Unrein, Mitch (NT)

Posted April 11, 2013 @ 3:44 p.m.
Unrein signed a one-year, $630,000 free-agent tender Thursday with the Broncos.
Unrein, a three-year veteran, also played offense in a goal-line situation for Denver last season. He caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Peyton Manning to become the first defensive lineman in team history to score on a reception. He has 27 tackles and one fumble recovery over the last two seasons.

Clark, Chris (T)

Posted April 10, 2013 @ 9:38 p.m.
Clark signed his $1.32 million restricted free agent tender on Wednesday.
Although Clark has made just a half-dozen starts for the Broncos over the last three seasons, he figures to get plenty of first-team snaps as Peyton Manning's blindside protector when offseason workouts begin. That's because Pro Bowl left tackle Ryan Clady is recovering from right shoulder surgery and is planning to skip the team's offseason program rather than sign his $9.8 million franchise tag.

Ball, Lance (RB)

Posted April 08, 2013 @ 4:58 p.m.
Ball signed his tender with the Denver Broncos, the team announced Monday. The diminutive but powerful tailback rushed for 158 yards on 42 carries last season as he spelled Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno.
Ball has bounced around the league since coming out of Maryland. Originally a college free agent with St. Louis, he made the Rams' practice squad in 2008 before joining Indianapolis that year and making the Colts' active roster for the regular season finale. He also spent time on Tennessee's practice squad before latching on with the Broncos for the last three seasons.

Carter, Quinton (S)

Posted March 14, 2013 @ 6:42 p.m.
Carter is facing felony charges in Nevada alleging that he cheated at a craps game last weekend at a Las Vegas-area casino, authorities said Thursday.
Carter, 24, was arrested late Saturday at the Texas Station casino in North Las Vegas. Security officials reported he was videotaped adding a $5 chip to three bets after the dice already rolled, according to a police report. Carter denied wrongdoing when police arrived.

Bradley, Stewart (LB)

Posted March 13, 2013 @ 4:51 p.m.
Denver has agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent linebacker Stewart Bradley.
Bradley played last season for Arizona.

Welker, Wes (WR)

Posted March 13, 2013 @ 4:51 p.m.
The Denver Broncos have found a new target for Peyton Manning, agreeing to a two-year deal with Welker. Broncos boss John Elway announced the move through his Twitter account on Wednesday. Said Elway: "Excited to have Wes join the Broncos. His production & toughness will be a great asset!"
Welker is the premier slot receiver in the league, catching 118 passes for 1,354 yards and six TDs last season. He developed quite a rapport with Tom Brady during his time with the Patriots and the two became good friends.

Vasquez, Louis (G)

Posted March 12, 2013 @ 5:59 p.m.
Denver agreed to terms with Vasquez on Tuesday.
According to STATS, he has allowed just 11 sacks and had one penalty during his time with the Chargers.

Manning, Peyton (QB)

Posted March 12, 2013 @ 5:40 p.m.
Manning will be the Broncos quarterback through at least 2014. The four-time Most Valuable Player's contract called for a guaranteed salary of $20 million in 2013 and 2014 if he was on the Denver roster Tuesday, which marks the start of the new league year. The final two years of his contract - 2015 and 2016 - are worth $19 million each, but are not guaranteed.
Coming off multiple neck operations, Manning threw for 4,659 yards and 37 touchdowns last season and was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year. He turns 37 on March 24.

Vickerson, Kevin (DT)

Posted March 11, 2013 @ 12:57 p.m.
The Broncos also are trying to re-sign defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson before he hits free agency and they've asked defensive end Elvis Dumervil to take a pay cut.
If not, he'll be traded or released before Saturday when his $12 million salary for 2013 becomes guaranteed.
