Kolb, Kevin (QB)

Posted March 30, 2013 @ 7:34 p.m.
Kolb has arrived in Buffalo to officially sign his two-year contract with the Bills. The Bills announced the signing Monday, a little over a week after the free agent agreed to a two-year contract potentially worth more than $12 million.
The sixth-year player spent the past two seasons in Arizona, where injuries hampered his opportunity to prove himself as a starter. He was cut by the Cardinals last month in a salary-cap saving move. In Buffalo, he gets the opportunity to compete for the starting job with Tarvaris Jackson. The Bills are in need of a starter after Ryan Fitzpatrick was released last month.

The Cardinals have released Kolb, ending the quarterback's two injury-filled seasons with the team.
The team's move on Friday came just ahead of the deadline for paying Kolb a $2 million roster bonus. The team paid Kolb some $20 million over two seasons after acquiring him in a trade that sent a second-round draft pick and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Lawson, Manny (LB)

Posted March 13, 2013 @ 10:32 a.m.
The Buffalo Bills began addressing their needs at linebacker by signing free-agent Manny Lawson to a four-year contract. The Bills announced the move Wednesday, a day after the NFL's free agency period opened. A person familiar with the contract provided the length of the deal, and spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Bills did not reveal the terms.
Listed at 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds, Lawson played the past two seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He spent his first five seasons with San Francisco, after the 49ers selected him in the first round in the draft. Lawson had 47 tackles and two sacks in 16 games, including 10 starts, last season. Overall, he has 18 sacks, two interceptions and seven forced fumbles in starting 81 of 96 career games.

Posted March 09, 2013 @ 11:50 a.m.
A person familiar with the negotiations says the Buffalo Bills have reached an agreement to re-sign McKelvin to a four-year contract worth a little over $20 million.

He was used mostly as a third cornerback last year, when he finished with one interception in 13 games, including four starts. Scott is a 10-year veteran, who has spent the past six seasons in Buffalo, where he's filled various roles. Scott has played linebacker and safety and been a regular on special teams.

Byrd, Jairus (S)

Posted March 01, 2013 @ 1:35 p.m.
The Buffalo Bills have retained the rights to Byrd by placing a franchise tag on him before he was eligible to become an unrestricted free agent.
In making the move Friday, the Bills have essentially offered Byrd a one-year contract worth $6.9 million. Byrd isn't required to accept the offer, and he's also not prevented from negotiating with other teams. The Bills, however, will have the right to match any offers made to Byrd. Byrd has 57 starts in 62 career games. He has 18 career interceptions, including five last season.
