The Titans have wasted no time addressing their 26th-ranked offense, pulling off a potent parlay with the signings of former Bills OG Andy Levitre and former Niners TE Delanie Walker.

The 6-2, 305-pound Levitre, widely considered to be the top guard available in this year’s free-agent market, had 64 consecutive starts over the past four seasons with Buffalo. A second-round pick out of Oregon State in 2009, Levitre is smart, athletic and a highly durable protector for Titans young QB Jake Locker.

Walker, a backup to Vernon Davis who most talent evaluators believe is talented enough to have been a starter for more than half of the league’s teams, is likely to replace Titans free agent TE Jared Cook. Able to also line up at wide receiver, fullback, running back and even right tackle, Walker offers considerable versatility, in addition to having turned himself into an excellent blocker.

Walker did have problems holding on to the ball this past season (team-high 11 drops), but he came through more often than not, including in the Super Bowl, when he caught three passes for 48 yards and made a key block on Frank Gore’s TD run.
