The Lions released ORG Stephen Peterman on Tuesday. Peterman had started every game for Detroit over the past three seasons.
The 31-year-old joined Detroit in 2006 and has 90 games with 86 starts under his belt. He entered the NFL in 2004 with the Cowboys.
According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Lions save about $3.2 million in cap space by releasing Peterman. He was due a $500,000 roster bonus on the second day of the league year.
