Seahawks DE Chris Clemons suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s wild-card win over the Redskins, an MRI confirmed Monday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport first reported.
Clemons’ agent, Donal Henderson, told Rapoport on Sunday that doctors believe the ACL is torn.
The ninth-year veteran suffered the injury early in the third quarter. He had two tackles in the win.
This season, Clemons started all 16 games for the third consecutive year and made 40 tackles, 11½ sacks, four passes defensed and three forced fumbles. Rookie DE Bruce Irvin replaced Clemons.
The Seahawks face the Falcons in next week’s divisional round.
