The Chiefs gave Brady Quinn a shot vs. what was the NFL’s worst pass defense statistically entering the game, and he struggled with two interceptions — one of which was run back for a touchdown. Both picks were huge momentum killers in Tampa Bay territory.

It would not be surprising if that was it for the Quinn experiment. The coaches have yet to make a decision following the loss to the Buccaneers, and it of course depends on the health of Matt Cassel (concussion), who must be cleared to practice first.

One game is not enough time to judge any player, and the Chiefs know this, but the rest of the team somehow looked worse with Quinn on the field. Jamaal Charles never got going and the defense played its worst game in a month.

Provided Cassel is cleared medically after the bye, he is the most likely option to start as the best option the Chiefs have.
