Panthers DT Andre Neblett has been suspended four games for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance, the team announced Wednesday.

Neblett can play in preseason games but can't be added to the active roster until Monday, Oct. 1, the day after the Panthers' Week Four game at Atlanta.

Last season, Neblett played in 12 games with four starts. He recorded 23 tackles and 2½ sacks.
