The Chicago Tribune reports that ex-Bears WR David Terrell was arrested on April 13 on a charge of misdemeanor domestic battery after allegedly grabbing his ex-girlfriend and threatening her during an argument.
Terrell, 33, was held on $10,000 bond Saturday. The incident was alleged to have happened early morning Friday at Terrell's apartment in a high-rise building on South Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
The ex-girlfriend told police that she had just broken up with Terrell after seven months together and during the ensuing argument, Terrell grabbed her causing bruises to her upper arms, chest and neck. The woman told police that Terrell then swore at her and told her, "I'll throw you off the balcony and say you jumped," according to court records.
Terrell was drafted by the Bears out of the University of Michigan in the first round of the 2001 NFL draft. He played four seasons with the Bears and one game with the Broncos in '05. He totaled 128 catches for 1,602 yards and nine touchdowns in 54 career games.
