The Cardinals are expected to release OT Levi Brown, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Brown, who is due a base salary of $8.33 million in 2012 and had a salary cap number of close to $17 million, has started 75 of his 77 games in the NFL. He was the fifth overall pick of the 2007 draft.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Cardinals entered this week $16.4 million over the $120.6 million salary cap. They are one of the suitors for QB Peyton Manning, who met with the team on Sunday.
