Every team makes changes from year to year. Some changes are voluntary, and the Broncos are sure to undergo some of those when free agency starts, depending on who they re-sign and who is let go. But some changes are forced. The team underwent that already, when defensive coordinator Dennis Allen left to become the head coach of the Raiders. Denver had to find a replacement, and did so in hiring ex-Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio to run the unit. "I think he's an outstanding football coach first and foremost, particularly on defense. We're excited to have him, it's been great," head coach John Fox said about Del Rio's arrival to the staff. We hear Del Rio will make changes to the defense, though it won't be a massive overhaul, as Fox and Allen did a year ago switching from a 3-4 to a 4-3. Instead expect the new coordinator to make some minor adjustments, including more blitzing on third downs.
