Cardinals GM Rod Graves said Thursday that fans should not have to worry about the team losing DE Calais Campbell.

"Calais will be with us, rest assured," Graves said on Arizona Sports 620, according to the team's website. "We will continue to focus on getting a long-term deal in place, and it's a process. But he will be an Arizona Cardinals player this year, and we are hoping certainly to extend that to a long-term deal. Conversations are continuing with his agent."

Campbell is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent. In four seasons with the Cardinals he has missed only one game. He started all 16 games last season, recording 72 tackles, eight sacks and 10 passes defensed. He has 21 sacks in his career.
