The Chargers hired Joe Barry as the team's linebackers coach on Saturday. Barry spent the past two seasons coaching linebackers at USC.

Barry comes to San Diego with 10 years of coaching experience in the NFL. He was the Lions' defensive coordinator in 2007 and ’08 and coached linebackers for the Buccaneers during two stints, from 2001-06 and in ’09.

Barry replaces John Pagano, who was promoted to defensive coordinator this offseason after San Diego fired Greg Manusky.
