My apologies as you will see repeat players listed below, but at the end of the day, please realize that these are the players available. It is what it is, and I'll try to keep it fresh and continually showcase different players, as well.

Week Eight brings ;the following teams on byes: Falcons, Bears, Packers, Jets, Raiders, Buccaneers. That means you lose RBs Michael Turner and Matt Forté; WRs Greg Jennings, Plaxico Burress and Darrius Heyward-Bey and TE Jermichael Finley.

QUARTERBACKS

Tim Tebow, Broncos (64% ownership)
Tebow had his first fourth-quarter comeback, but as we saw Sunday, he played horribly for the first 50 minutes and came through his final 10 minutes. He went 13-of-27 for 161 yards and two touchdowns through the air and 8-65-0 rushing, so he will have growing pains, but his legs will save you. The team will be conservative with him in the passing game in order to let him grow into the job. He's a matchup play, and while he may have a ways to go to become a legitimate NFL QB, he can make an impact as a fantasy QB.

RUNNING BACKS

DeMarco Murray, Cowboys (59% owned)
Murray (25-253-1) went crazy, and although Felix Jones (knee) may be rooting for him as a teammate, he may end up doing that much longer if Murray continues at this pace. Let's temper expectations, as he was facing the Rams, but he gets the Eagles this week, making him a must-start as the Eagles can't stop anyone rushing the ball. My only fear is that he becomes this week's version of the Ryan Torain we saw the last two weeks.

Jackie Battle, Chiefs (48% owned)
I've listed Battle (16-76-0) three straight weeks now and I list him again. This past week he responded with 76 yards but at 4.8 yards per carry. The Chiefs won and he played well, so I would look for him to be the featured back next week again. He makes a flex or bye-week running back for your roster.

Montario Hardesty, Browns (36% owned)
Hardesty (33-95-0) may have had 33 attempts, but at 2.9 yards per carry it wasn't impressive. You add Peyton Hillis (hamstring) possibly returning, and they'll eat into each other's touches. Hardesty only has value if Hillis is out, so you're taking a chance if you pick him up. Although he should be on a roster, he's like Ben Tate, valuable only if the starter is out. View him as a flex, bye-week or injury fill-in if Hillis is out.

Maurice Morris (34% owned) and Keiland Williams, Lions (3% owned)
Morris (9-50-0) and Williams (9-44-0) are not going to carry your team. They're lower-end players used to replace players on bye or injured. No one knows how long Jahvid Best (concussion) will be out, so look for these two in Week Eight. They only make bye-week or injury fill-ins.

Marion Barber, Bears (11% owned)
Barber went 6-39-1 this past weekend and scored his third touchdown in his last four games and is a weekly start in TD-only leagues — if those still exist. In larger leagues he can be used as a bye-week or injury fill-in. Like Bills TE Scott Chandler, he's only a TD machine. If he doesn't score, you're looking at a few points at best, so he has risk as his four-game average of 5.8 attempts for 22.8 yards and 0.8 TDs per game shows.

Alfonso Smith, Cardinals (2% owned)
Smith  (5-17-1) scored a TD this past week and will see extended playing time if Beanie Wells' knee forces him to miss a game. Keep an eye on the updates, but if Smith does start, he makes a flex or bye-week fill-in for your roster.

Lance Ball (0% owned) and Knowshon Moreno, Broncos (48% owned)
Ball touched the rock this past weekend, going 6-14-0, and I can see him playing next week as Moreno (7-28-0 rushing, 2-10-0 receiving) is not showing the ability to play in the NFL. Moreno should get the start, but Ball will see playing time. Moreno's a bye-week or injury fill-in whereas Ball is only a draft-and-stash, or a waiver-wire pickup and stash to see how the team uses him this weekend.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Steve Breaston, Chiefs (29% owned)
Breaston (5-64-0 on nine targets) has a three-game average of 6.3 targets for 4.3 receptions, 68.3 yards and 0.7 TDs per game. Playing on the Chiefs is the reason he's not owned by many fantasy teams. He can be used as a flex or bye-week player with upside because the defenses will focus on No. 1 WR Dwayne Bowe.

Demaryius Thomas, Broncos (29% owned)
Thomas scored a touchdown and had 10 targets, going 3-27-1. Some of the targets credited to Thomas were balls Tim Tebow was throwing out of bounds. No one denies Thomas is the most talented receiver on the roster, but he can't stay healthy. Despite Eric Decker being the starter and the player with experience, Tebow seems to be looking for Thomas. Thomas is more of a watch-list player, but pick him up as he's in a better position than what you'll normally find on the waiver wire. He's a matchup play.

TIGHT ENDS

Jared Cook, Titans (35% owned)
Cook will be an important part of this offense by season's end. He went only 2-22-1 this week but has two TDs in three games. His three-game average is 5.7 targets for 2.7 receptions, 58 yards and 0.7 TDs per game. He makes a flex or bye-week player.

WATCH LIST

QB Christian Ponder, Vikings (10% owned)
Ponder had a respectable showing for his first game out, going 13-of-32 for 219 yards, two TDs and two interceptions. But more importantly, he brought life and vitality to a club that looked flat every week prior. The team will probably live through Ponders' inconsistent play and keep him as the starter to gain experience. He only belongs on dynasty league rosters.

RB Kregg Lumpkin, Bucs (2% owned)
Lumpkin (8-15-0 rushing, 6-37-0 receiving with eight targets) took over after Earnest Graham (Achilles) went down, but he was not able to do anything to endear him to fantasy owners on the waiver wire. However, backs are like gold, and starter LeGarrette Blount (knee) is still out. Despite the Bucs having a bye week, grab him and stash him in case he gets the start in Week Nine. He does have solid hands, giving him greater value in PPR leagues.

WR Michael Jenkins, Vikings (11% owned)
Jenkins had the best day of his eight-year career, going 3-111-1 on eight targets, and has arguably been the team's best wideout. He leads the team's WR corps or is tied in targets, yards and TDs. His season average is 5.4 targets for 3.9 receptions, 47.4 yards and 0.4 TDs per game. Average numbers but he has a new quarterback that may be able to open up the offense a bit and take advantage of the space underneath. If you're in a larger league, you can use him as a No. 3, bye-week or injury fill-in.

TE Visanthe Shiancoe, Vikings (19% owned)
Shiancoe (4-45-1 with eight targets) had a great game and was a focal point for rookie QB Christian Ponder. Watch-list Shiancoe and see how well he and the rookie develop chemistry. You may want to grab and stash him in deeper leagues, but remember all this is based on one game.
