Head coach Leslie Frazier wouldn't say who the starting quarterback would be following the drafting of first-round QB Christian Ponder naturally, nor did he indicate directly whether there might be another quarterback on a different team who could enter the mix. "Well, I still want it to be an open competition with the guys that are on our roster right now," Frazier said. "There's Joe Webb, there's Rhett (Bomar) and of course Christian eventually. So, it will be those three and what happens with free agency, who knows? We'll eventually get to that point, but right now it's a competition between those three and we'll line up with the best guy against the Chargers (in Week One)." The Vikings long have been connected with Redskins QB Donovan McNabb, who could be traded or released, and we hear there's still a decent chance that the Vikings could get involved with him.
