There's a groundswell among Giants fans for the team to draft Florida OG-C Mike Pouncey, brother of Steelers C Maurkice Pouncey, who made the Pro Bowl as a rookie last season. This comes with good reason: The draft-eligible Pouncey not only has good genetics but also improved as the season went on and could play any of the three interior positions. Those are pressing needs with Shaun O'Hara, Rich Seubert and Adam Koets all having undergone surgeries this offseason and their long-term health in question with the players not currently under close supervision by the Giants' staff during the work stoppage. But don't rule out the team looking hard at an offensive tackle when they pick in Round One, currently holding the 19th selection. Drafting a top tackle could push Dave Diehl into the role he was pegged for early in his career — jack of all trades — or as a starting guard if Seubert or O'Hara can't play.
