Notes:

First name is pronounced “Zee-Bree.” The Dayton, Ohio prep earned the Anthony Munoz Offensive Lineman of the Year award as a senior. Appeared in all 13 contests and collected 31 knockdowns as a true freshman in 2008, starting the season opener at left tackle and the last 10 games of the season at right tackle. Started 12-of-13 games in ’09 and finished with a grade of 73 percent and led the team with 43 knockdowns. Did not start against South Florida after struggling with his consistency. Made all 14 starts in ’10 — 13 at right tackle and the Virginia game at left tackle in place of the injured Andrew Datko — and recorded 37 knockdown blocks and an average grade of 81 percent. Missed ’11 spring practice because of abdominal surgery. In the fall, started the first five games at right tackle before moving to left tackle for the next nine starts after Datko’s season-ending injury.

Positives:

Outstanding arm length. Is quick off the ball and can work up a level and reach linebackers. Can cut off the edge on kick slide. Has experience playing both edges.

Negatives:

Plays soft and catches too much.  Underpowered and bends at the waist too much. Cannot create a surge in the run game. Not a finisher and does not bury defenders in the dirt. Average hand use. Really struggled in pass protection at the Senior Bowl — bulked up but showed no core strength and was too easily pushed back, knocked around and rag-dolled. Registered the worst 3-cone time of any tackle at the Combine (8.16 seconds) and very marginal 20-yard shuttle times.

Summary:

Developmental tackle prospect who struggled to carry additional weight and saw his draft stock slide in the postseason after a disappointing showing at the Senior Bowl and at the Combine.
