Notes:

Father, Butch, was an All-America running back at Michigan and a first-round draft pick before playing for the Giants, Oilers and Lions (1982-88). Troy also ran track as a Texas prep. As a true freshman in 2007, appeared in seven games and was credited with five tackles, two pass breakups and zero interceptions, missing time at the end of the season with an ankle injury. Played all 12 games as a reserve cornerback in ’08, recording 9-0-0. In ’09, posted 46-1-0 in 12 starts — the first five at strong safety, the next six at right cornerback after the dismissal of Boubacar Cissoko and the season finale at free safety. Bruised his right shoulder vs. Michigan State. Also ran for the Wolverines’ track team, posting personal bests of 10.58 seconds in the 100 meters and 6.86 in the 60 meters. Was slated to play cornerback in ’10 but dislocated his right ankle and broke his fibula in mid-August and sat out the season. Split the '11 campaign between cornerback and safety, playing in all 13 games and registering 30-2-0. Started six of the seven games at left cornerback, the next game at strong safety and three of the final five games at free safety.
