The Texas prep helped lead his team to a 26-2 record over his final two season while playing defensive tackle and tight end. Also lettered in basketball and track and field. Spent two seasons as a starting offensive lineman at Navarro College (Corsicana, Tex.) in 2008-09 before transferring to Baylor. Had left shoulder surgery in January ’10, missing some time in the spring. Started 10-of-13 games in the fall at right guard and graded out at 80.3 percent with 61 knockdowns. In ’11, he recorded 72 knockdowns and had an average grade of 81.3 percent in 13 contests (12 starts at ORG).Summary:
A junior-college product who played guard and tackle at Baylor, Griffin is a massive, heavy-footed, short-area blocker who does not consistently play to his size and shows limited eyes and awareness. Despite his size, is underdeveloped physically and needs to get significantly stronger.
