Father, Craig, played on the 1977 Marquette national-champion basketball team and then professionally in France. Patrick was a defensive lineman-tight end who also played basketball as a Wisconsin prep. Redshirted in 2007. As a reserve in ’08, tallied five tackles, 1 1/2 for loss and zero sacks in 13 games. Played 13 games in ’09, starting two, and notched 24-2 1/2-1/2 with three passes batted down. Started all 13 games in ’10 and recorded 28-3-2 1/2 with one batted pass. Totaled 23-3 1/2-1 with two batted passes and one forced fumble in 14 starts at defensive tackle in '11. Team captain.
