Notes: Name is pronounced “muh-connor REE-gis.” The Florida prep saw action in 10 games at defensive tackle in 2008, notching 10 tackles, half a tackle for loss and zero sacks. Threw the shot put for the track team in the spring of ’09, In the fall, appeared in all 13 games as a backup defensive tackle and posted 19-3- 1/2 with two interceptions and one forced fumble. Played in 12 games, starting the last 10 games at defensive tackle, in ’10 and logged 42-8-3 with one pass batted down and a 22-yard interception return for a touchdown. Missed the season opener with an upper-extremity injury. In '11, he tallied 41-6 1/2-2 with four batted down passes in 11 games. Started the first six games on the left side of the defensive line — five at LDT and game six at LDE. Was suspended by the school for one game after punching a North Carolina player in the groin and did not start the rest of the season.
