Saw action in all 13 contests, grabbing 5-35-1 (7.0) in ’09. Led the Bulls in receiving in ’10, hauling in 50-690-5 (13.8) in 12 games (10 starts). Did not start against Ball State or Eastern Michigan (coach’s decision for not playing to his full potential). Started 11-of-12 games in ’11 and led the team in receptions with 60-615-2 (10.2). Did not start against Akron because Buffalo started three tight ends and a fullback. Has one career fumble.

Terrific size — has a big frame with room for added bulk. Long arms and a big wing span. Has a big catching radius and plucks with his hands. Uses his body to gain positioning. Good character. Durable. 

Needs to get stronger. Average strength and suddenness to combat press coverage — does not gain an advantage off the line. Runs upright. Chops his steps to break and rounds off some cuts. Average flexibility. Inconsistent in traffic and can do a better job attacking the ball. Technique and physicality as a blocker leave something to be desired. Was shut down by Tennessee. Inconsistent practice habits.

Lean, high-cut, long-levered “X” receiver who could be effective running digs, outs, posts and slants but is a developmental size-speed prospect who has to prove he can separate consistently. Practice-squad candidate.
