Notes: Last name is pronounced “bee-YUH.” Played halfback, safety, cornerback and was a kick returner as a Georgia prep. Also excelled in track, running the fastest 200-meter dash (21.46 seconds) in the state. Appeared in all 12 games in 2008, grabbing 33 passes for 550 yards (16.7-yard average) and six touchdowns while returning seven kickoffs for 142 yards (20.3-yard average). Started eight of the last nine games at the “Y” receiver spot with the only non-start because of the formation. Played in 10 contests (one start) in ’09, producing 8-65-0 (8.1) receiving and 6-99-0 (16.5) on kickoff returns. Missed three games with a thumb injury. Started 9-of-13 games at “Y” receiver in ’10, recording 29-388-2 (13.4). Added 4-86-0 (21.5) as a kickoff returner. Has 14 career rushes for 51 yards (3.6-yard average). 03/30/2012 (News): Middle Tennessee State WR Malcolm Beyah was arrested for domestic assault on March 25. According to the police report, a late-night argument with Beyah's girlfriend of two years spilled outside. Beyah tried to drive away, but his girlfriend stood in the open driver's side door cavity. The report says Beyah girlfriend swung at him, so he pushed her down before she hopped into the driver's seat and the two struggled over the gear shift. The vehicle reversed and struck another parked vehicle. Both Beyah and his girlfriend acknowledged they had consumed alcohol. After the incident, Beyah's girlfriend told the Daily News Journal the situation was merely a boyfriend-girlfriend argument that escalated: "[Beyah] has never been abusive to me. He has never laid his hands on me, and I don’t consider this as him laying his hands on me. It was horribly blown out of proportion."
