Started all four years at safety and running back as a Missouri prep. Began his college career at Kansas State and saw action in eight games as a true freshman in 2007, making one start at wide receiver against Oklahoma State, and grabbed three passes for 33 yards (11.0-yard average) and zero touchdowns. Began the ’08 season as a wide receiver but was switched to running back for Week Four and led the Wildcats in rushing with 118 carries for 412 yards (3.5-yard average) and five touchdowns in nine games (six starts at running back and one at wide receiver) while catching 24-178-1 (7.4). Missed three games with a staph infection in his left knee. Returned to wide receiver in ’09 and caught 18-215-2 (11.9) in 12 games (eight starts). Decided to transfer from K-State for personal reasons and ended up at Minnesota State, where he redshirted in ’10 and earned Scout Team Offensive Player of the Year honors.
