First name is pronounced “cuh-SHEEF.” Ran track as a New Jersey prep. Redshirted in 2007. Led the Huskies in receiving in ’08, catching 27 passes for 273 yards (10.1-yard average) and one touchdown in 13 games (eight starts). Appeared in all 13 games and made three starts in ’09, posting 22-370-3 (16.8). Started 10-of-13 games in ’10, recording 36-452-4 (12.6) receiving and had eight kickoff returns for 169 yards (21.1-yard average) and zero scores. In ’11, logged 41-604-5 (14.7) in 12 games (11 starts). Has 20 career rushing attempts for 59 yards (3.0-yard aveage) and one touchdown. Team captain. Wore jersey No. 82 his first three seasons but changed to No. 6 to honor fallen teammate and friend Jasper Howard. Has eight career fumbles.Positives:
Rare timed speed and leaping ability (had a Combine-best 431⁄2-inch vertical). Jets off the line if given a free release. Agile and flexible. Runs good routes and shows burst to separate. Gets upfield quickly after the catch. Outstanding leaping ability. Durable and football smart. Solid personal and football character.Negatives:
Lacks ideal size and has small hands and short arms. Limited functional strength — can be slowed by the jam and struggles in traffic. Does not play to timed speed. Inconsistent tracking, reactions and hands — double-catches some and drops catchable balls. Average career production.Summary:
Undersized, tight-skinned, inconsistent “X” receiver with blazing speed who will have to make a living on vertical routes, double moves and speed outs. Will appeal to teams such as the Raiders and Eagles.
