Played linebacker and tight end as a Florida prep and lettered three times in basketball. Grayshirted in 2007 due to a back injury. Appeared in 10 contests in ’08 as a true freshman, making seven tackles. Saw action in all 13 games and managed 14 tackles, one tackle for loss and one sack in ’09 while dealing with a fractured right clavicle. Moved into the starting lineup at middle linebacker in ’10 and logged 78-9-1 with four pass breakups, one interception and one forced fumble in 14 games. Started 11-of-12 games played (except Memphis) at MLB in ’11 with 66-10-2 with two pass breakups, two interceptions and two forced fumbles. Graduated in December.
