Notes: The Florida prep had an impressive true freshman season in 2008, rushing 69 times for 482 yards (7.0-yard average) and three touchdowns in 12 games. Also caught six passes for 48 yards (8.0-yard average) and no scores. Appeared in all 13 contests with 10 starts in ’09, posting 163-832-9 (5.1) to lead the team in rushing and 17-129-1 (7.6) receiving. In ’10, rushed 86-490-6 (5.7) and caught 12-134-1 (11.2) in 11 games (eight starts). Suffered a sprained toe against Miami. Also a sprained an LCL in his right knee against Clemson and missed the next three games, returning for limited action in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. Was arrested twice in one week for driving with a suspended license (Feb. 4 and Feb. 10, 2011).
10/02/2011 (News): Florida State RB Jermaine Thomas is clearly not in head coach Jimbo Fisher's good graces, as he has slid down the running back depth chart and received just four carries (all in a blowout of Charleston Southern) on the season. This combined with concerns regarding his character, maturity and intelligence will prevent him from getting drafted.
