Notes: Married and speaks four languages. Also lettered in basketball and track as a Utah prep. Went on his Mormon mission in Montreal from 2005-07. Was a member of the BYU scout team in ’08. Appeared in 11 games in ’09 and made two tackles against UNLV. Saw his most extensive action in ’10, posting 34 tackles, 4 1/2 tackles for loss and one sack with two interceptions in 10 games. Started nine games — four at weak-side ’backer and five on the strong side — and missed three contests because of a fractured thumb that required surgery. Team captain.
