In ’09, he rose from second-string kicker before the season to win first-team All-America honors after the season and set an NCAA single-season record for combined kick accuracy (98.5 percent). Connected on 26-of-27 field-goal attempts with a long of 46 and all 39 point-after tries for 117 points. Handled kickoffs late in the season with 14 kickoffs for a 64.1-yard average and one touchback. Had another very accurate season in ’10, making 17-of-19 FG attempts and 45-of-47 PATs. Limited action on kickoffs (3-69.1-1). Graduated in May ’11 and in the fall kicked in only seven games before being sidelined for the final six games with a hip flexor injury. Connected on all 30 PATs but struggled on field goals with 9-of-16 with a long of 47. Also handled kickoffs 38-64.2-3.
