As a true freshman in 2008, rushed 53 times for 284 yards (5.4-yard average) and two touchdowns in 10 games (one start). Did not see action in the first two contests. In ’09, carried 54-244-1 (4.5) in 13 games (one start). Played 11 games in ’10, drawing two starts, and ran 82-487-5 (5.9). Did not play against Houston (concussion). Complimented Johnathan Franklin in ’11, toting 152-765-11 (5.0) in 14 games. Also caught 17 career passes for 66 yards (3.9) and zero touchdowns. Was second-team All-Pacific-12 as a special-teams performer as a senior and took home team awards for outstanding special-teams play (twice) and all-around excellence according to coaches. A chiseled tweener prospect, Coleman was a straight-linish, complementary college running back, though his best chance in the pros will be to bulk up into an athletic fullback. Has speed in the 4.5s at 230 pounds and runs with low pads, showing a nose for the endzone. Also was a special-teams standout for the Bruins.
